How to disable/delete some startup program on your computer

Greetings of peace,
One thing that slows down the startup process of computers are startup programs, they are loaded on to the computer's memory and takes too long to finish sometimes, making the user wait longer. What's worst is that you have a lot of startup programs and your computer is running on low resources, making you wait for too long, when you are in a hurry.

Let's try to define an easy solution to that.

I have written a blog post before about CCleaner, you might had read it before or not, but I have not included in that post how to control startup programs using CCleaner, now I will walk you through the process, and I will make it easy.

First you need to have CCleaner, if you have it already that's good but if you don't have it, you can download it at the download page, download page is just above this post. You might be worried about the price? No worries CCleaner is an opensource software, it's meant to be free, but if you want some powerful features you can opt to pay just like the Panda Cloud Antivirus (Click here to view Panda Cloud Antivirus), but the basic functions are for free and yet so powerful and helpful. After downloading you need to install it.

When you open CCleaner it'll look somewhat like this, if not then you need to update your CCleaner.
You need to go to Tools, just click the blue toolbox icon on the left side of the window, after that click on startup just right next to the toolbox icons, that's a little bit right side pixel away :).

Then you will be shown now the programs that run on your computer on startup. Now you can "Disable" it for a while, or "Delete" it. If you are worried you might bugged down your computer you can try to disable it first then restart your computer then observe what happens, then you can consider to delete some if you need to, but I suggest not to do delete, just disable them. :).

That's it :). Got question or need some assistance email me at b69i.vio8@gmail.com or drop a comment :).

How to create your own personalized Chrome Theme

Greetings of peace, if you love Google Chrome like me, you might want to personalize it to make it cool and nice :).  I have tried to make mine too, and it looks great :D. It's easy and fun, here's how to :).

Before anything else, you need Google chrome and a gmail account, after that you need to visit the Chrome web store and install the "My Chrome Theme".

After installing "My Chrome Theme" just lauch it and you are ready to make your personalized theme. Here's a screenshot.

It takes only 3 steps to finish your own theme.

After that install it or preview it, and that's it :).

Speccy from Piriform

Greetings of peace :), here's a new tool for you to see what inside of your computer.

Speccy is an application from Piriform that lets you see thoroughly the hardware components of your computer and the running services on your computer.

I have taken a screenshot of Speccy so that you can see it :).

You have the information displayed there, your operating system, central processing unit, random access memory, motherboard, and many other.

One thing I like with Speccy  is the temperature status, the one with the number and the Degree Celsius sign (C), it let's you know the current temperature reading of your hardware component, actually I figured it out that the unit can be change to Fahrenheit and also the language, you can change it in View>Option, then a small window will pop out :), just change whatever you want to.

The screenshot I have shot above is just the overview, there are a lot more to see about your computer on the left side of the Speccy window, from graphics, hard drive, audio, optical drives, peripherals and network, if you try to click that you will be presented with a much more detailed information about your computer, the next time your friends ask you the specification of your computer, you can answer them with the help of Speccy, with Speccy your friends will know that you aren't noob at all :).

One thing more is that you can do snapshot of your computer's specification then save, export to xml, and publish it, this will help you when you are having some problem with your computer, you can send your Speccy saved file or publish it to your friends or technical support representative to help them see your computer's needs. Here's a snapshot of it :).
What's best about Speccy is that it's free to download, but if you want some support from them you can opt to pay :). You can download it at Speccy.Piriform.Com

Here are some words from Piriform, why you need Speccy :).

"Why do I need Speccy?
At first glance, Speccy may seem like an application for system administrators and power users. It certainly is, but Speccy can also help normal users, in everyday computing life.
If you need to add more memory to your system, for example, you can check how many memory slots your computer has and what memory's already installed. Then you can go out and buy the right type of memory to add on or replace what you've already got.
If you're going to be selling your PC, you can use Speccy to quickly list out the components. Or, if you're buying a PC, you can use Speccy to check that the computer has what the label says it has.
Also, Speccy comes in handy for support. If you're on the phone with technical support and they want to know what video card you have installed, there's no need to hunt around Windows. Speccy has all the information on one easy-to-understand screen."
