[DROPBOX TIP] How to send Large files on the web

Greeting of Peace to you humm'er.

Sending large file on the web can be free, there's a way you do not need to pay anything to host your large files and be able to send it to your recipient/s. If ever you want to send a large file to someone, use Dropbox service, it is free for regular members but if you want to expand the storage space you can opt to pay for it. With Dropbox what you need to do is just to paste the file/s on your Dropbox's Public folder then send the public link that is assigned by Dropbox to your file/s after the uploading process.

Here's how to do it step by step,
1. Register in Dropbox here.(If you want to expand your dropbox storage capacity just leave your referal link on the comment box and I will include it in this post, I had reached the maximum capacity already.)
2. Download then Install the software.
3. Copy the file you want to send.
4. Go to your Dropbox's Public folder on your local hard drive.
5. Paste your file in the Public folder, and wait for the upload to be done, you will know that the uploading process is done when the blue circling logo on the file you selected turn to a green checked one.
6. When the uploading process is done, right click your file, select "Dropbox" from the pop up menu, then select "Copy public link".
7. Now send the public link to your recipient via whatever means you have, whether it is through email, private message on Facebook/Twitter, etc..

Be aware, that the files availability depends upon "you", if you deleted that file in your Dropbox account, that file won't be available anymore for download. Be sure that if you are going to remove it, your recipient/s have it downloaded already, or else they will see a 404 error saying that the page could not be found.

Just to be sure, Audio files and Video files are not bound in this tutorial, the recipient won't be able to download it in this manner,  instead you need to zip/rar/compress the Audio/Video files first before pasting it in the Public folder of your Dropbox folder in your local hard disk.

You might want to read this one, just for some picture references "How to share Audio Lectures/Music in Facebook".

cool fonts. how did you create them? btw, Binfer is another great option for large file transfers. It does direct computer to computer file transfers, without requiring you to upload them somewhere. You can send hundreds of files of any size with a simple drag and drop. Binfer will manage the transfers with auto resumes, encryption, notifications etc. Check it out: http://www.binfer.com
